Woolwich launch new base rate tracker

The Woolwich have today announced the launch of a base tracker rate at less than 6%. The new deal is designed to track at 0.99% above the Barclays Bank base rate for the life of the mortgage. The Barclays Bank base rate is the same as the Bank of England base rate, and this will therefore result in an initial pay rate of 5.99%. Those who apply through The Mortgage Warehouse (GB) Ltd and other select intermediaries will benefit from a version of the deal which has no arrangement fee. The scheme is available for mortgages of up to 60% of the property value.
