Property still offers investment opportunities

The UK property market holds many good investment opportunities, according to one expert.

In addition, total returns are set to pick up markedly in the final six months of this year.

Legal & General Property is confident that the UK property market still offers plenty of good investment opportunities.

It pointed out that the market is on the road to recovery and property has always been a good investment.

"The case for investing in property remains a strong one," said Rob Martin, head of performance analysis and research at Legal & General Property.

"It has always been an excellent asset to include in a portfolio due its low correlation with equities and bonds and its income generating capacity," he continued.

The sentiment echoes that revealed by a survey of London property investors, carried out by the Young Group.

It showed that 95 per cent of current investors do not intend to sell their properties for at least another 12 months.
