New product range from Leeds Building Society

Leeds Building Society has unveiled a new range of three and five-year fixed rate mortgages, with rates starting from 5.35 per cent.

The mortgage provider is offering options without fees or early repayment charges, for borrowers requiring help with the up front costs and extra flexibility. There are no higher lending charges on any of the products, and the fee free range also come with free in-house legal services for remortgages and free valuations up to £335.

Karen Wint, general manager of customer services at Leeds, said: "We know that many borrowers like the ability to budget through fixed monthly payments and large numbers of mortgage customers will be coming off existing fixed rate deals in 2008.

"To be able to lock in value with a range of flexible options to suit a borrowers needs provides excellent peace of mind. This will also minimise the payment shock for a sizeable proportion of borrowers and reduce monthly outgoings for many more.

All of the mortgages are fully portable, allowing customers to move home during the term, and can be applied for in any Leeds Building Society branch, by telephone, or online.
