Both schemes have an interest rate which is 0.99% above the Bank of England base rate, giving a current payable rate of 5.99%. The scheme will continue to maintain this differential until the 30th November 2011, at which time it will revert to the Halifax standard variable rate. Both schemes have a product fee of £950 and are available up to 60% of the value of the property or £500,000 whichever is the less. Early Repayment charges apply for redemptions before 30th November 2011, and the mortgage must be in place prior to the end of November 2008.
The scheme is available only via selected intermediaries.
