Manchester has plenty to offer new buyers

That is according to Savills, which said that the area has become "England's second biggest city".
The firm pointed out that Manchester benefits from a vibrant feel as well as offering real value for money when it comes to property.
"The city has grown significantly in the last few years and is still growing, and I'd class it as England's second biggest city, apart from London. It's a great vibrant city, things are always happening here," commented Tom Rogers, residential investment consultant at Savills.
"First-time buyers can get a mortgage for around £100,000 to live in the city centre, which is pretty good," he added.
Mr Rogers went on to reveal that Manchester benefits from a good mix of people, with young and old living side by side.
According to Manchesterfacts.com, the city has £4.9 billion earmarked for construction projects over the next decade.
