Exclusive fixed rates from Skipton

The Skipton has announced the launch of two new fixed rate mortgage schemes available exclusively through their packager BDS Mortgage Group. Both deals offer applicants the opportunity to fix their mortgage rate for four years, which is likely to be a very popular period.

The interest rate is 5.67% for those wishing to borrow up to 75% of the value of their property, and 6.07% for those wishing to borrow up to 90%. The deals are available for both home movers and those wishing to swap their mortgage from their existing lender. Remortgage customers will also have the option of using Skipton’s Home Conveyancer Service to qualify for free valuation and free legal service, for properties valued up to £500,000.

BDS were keen to point out the value that they bring to the Skipton Group, not least of which will be taking on the majority of the administration associated with applications on these new deals. The launch of these new products is a very welcome development in the packaged market place, coming less than a week after south coast packaging neighbours SMS announced the appointment of administrators. BDS, who became part of the Skipton Group early this year, say these new deals confirm they will continue to be a key player in the market.
