Confidence grows in the UK housing market

That is according to the Agents' Confidence Index from Hot Property, which shows that 73 per cent of agents were more confident about the market in February than they were in January.
It shows that the UK housing market is picking up and February's figure is a slight rise on the 72 per cent recorded in January.
Commenting on the results of the index, Shawn Luetchens, Hot Property managing director, said that they prove January's increase in confidence was not an anomaly.
"This month's index shows agents' confidence in the market is stable, having risen from 72 percent in January to 73 percent in February," he said.
"It goes to show the massive leap in confidence last month wasn't just a reaction to the January market, which is traditionally a busy period," continued Mr Luetchens.
Recent figures from the Land Registry showed that house prices in England and Wales increased by 0.9 per cent in January.
