Abbey mortgage rates reduced

Abbey have today announced improvements to their range of mortgage deals, especially those aimed at borrowers who wish to borrow less than 75% of the value of their property. Reductions of up to 0.2% can be found, on both fixed rates and tracker rates, and there are several completely new deals available via mortgage brokers and intermediaries

The new deals include a ten year fixed rate at 6.24%, available up to 75% of the property value and with a lenders arrangement fee of £999. For remortgage customers, the three new deals consist of a five year fixed rate at 6.25% with a £1,499 fee a two year tracker at 5.69% with a £1,999 fee and a further two year tracker at 5.79% with a £1,999 fee. The fixed rate is available up to 70% of the value of the property, with the two year trackers being available up to 60% and 75% respectively.
