Abbey launches exclusive five year fixed rate

Abbey have announced the launch of a new five year fixed rate at 5.69%. The scheme is available for both house purchase and remortgage, and is available for loans of up to 60% of the value of the property. There is a booking fee of £1,499, but this can be added to the mortgage.

The scheme is available exclusively from The Mortage Warehouse (GB) Ltd and other independent brokers who are members of the Pink Homeloans Mortgage Club or the Legal & General Mortgage Club.

Adrian Whittaker, key accounts director at Abbey for Intermediaries said that he wants to send a clear message to brokers. He says:"As we continue to develop our proposition in these difficult market conditions we are keen to ensure brokers understand we are still in the market to lend and that our dedication to the intermediary market remains a key part of our strategy.”
