igroup is one of the UK's leading providers of specialist mortgages and secured loans to customers unable to obtain finance from 'high street' banks and building societies.
igroup was established in 1999 following a successful management-buy-out of Ocwen UK Limited from its American parent business. The company continued to trade under the Ocwen name until April 2000, when it was renamed and relaunched as igroup.
igroup and its subsidiary business were acquired by GE Consumer Finance, a unit of the General Electric Company (GE), in June 2001.
